Movie perks - Regal Rewards @regalmovies

I just thought I'd share about my excitement over receiving a free movie ticket tonight when using my Regal Crown Club card at the Regal Cinema. We receive free popcorn, drinks and candy on random occasions, so having this card is a must if you live near a Regal cinema. I hadn't even been to the movies in a while, so this was a great bonus that I wasn't expecting. Thanks Regal for having such a great theater at Regal Westchester and for the rewards.

Another eating post

My wife just informed me that all my posts so far have been about eating or consuming, so here goes again. I think everyone should have one of these devices. This chopper can be used to cut anything from boiled eggs (the reason I use it most) to potatoes-let your imagination run wild. It is so easy to use and it is dishwasher safe. I can't believe I'm blogging about this, but it just struck me as one of my favorite kitchen tools today while I made my egg salad. You can go to www.kwik-kut.com and order one for yourself if you feel moved by this post.

Agave Who?

So, I'm sure this will be a snoozer for some, but if you like coffee or hot tea and need another something something to sweeten it with, then this is the thing for you...Ohgave! I love it and it tastes so good. I found it at TJMaxx (probably seems like a strange place to buy edible items, but their website lists them as a seller) and it is a great substitute for honey because it has a lower glycemic index of 17, which means it won't spike your insulin levels like sugar or honey. I'm not diabetic, but years of insulin spikes add up and I'm lowering my daily spikes with Ohgave. It is made of agave nectar that comes from the Mexican agave plant and it is similar in consistency to honey, but a little less viscous. Give it a try whenever you would use sugar or honey and you'll be hooked.

What I'm eating

I just thought I'd quickly share that Walgreens brand cheese danishes are amazing! I really shouldn't have eaten this 360 calorie behemoth this morning at work, but I can't say that I regret it. They are very fresh and as good as anything you might find at Panera Bread or Starbucks. It also only cost me just over a dollar, so there you have it! Quickly pull in to your local Walgreens and snatch up one of their remaining cheese danishes located near the drink cooler and thank me later. :)
